The Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club is a sports club based in Osterley, Middlesex. It offers excellent facilities for social and competitive rugby at all levels including Senior, Junior, Mini and Ladies.
The club was founded in 1950, and soon after Grasshoppers open up their first ground just off Greenford Ave. Heathrow Airport is only 15 minutes away by car and around 30 minutes from Central London by train. It even encourages players from overseas to be a part of the club. So if you are new to the place and plan to stay long for a year or so, you can try your hand at the sport too.
The Grasshoppers RFC has already included players from all over the world including those from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Fiji. It increases diversity of different playing styles and cultures for the club, while the players enjoy being involved in a friendly and sociable rugby club that continually strives to improve its playing standards. To help foreign 1st XV players adjust in the local area, the Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club helps find employment and accommodation for them as well.
The RFC has always believed in getting the community involved, and has various school based projects to help teach and nurture children interested in the game. These include schools such as primary schools, secondary schools, special needs schools and more. A community rugby coach has also been appointed to bring out talented players.
